Job Description

Our mission is to deliver the essential building blocks of nuclear power—enabling cost-effective, safe, and secure energy for the world.   The Director of Strategic Communications is responsible for leading Standard Nuclear’s external communications strategy, including investor communications, company positioning, and market messaging. This role owns the development of a clear, consistent narrative that accurately reflects the company’s technical progress, operational execution, and long-term strategy.   This position partners directly with executive leadership to shape how the company is represented to investors, partners, and external stakeholders. The Director ensures that all communications are aligned, credible, and effective in supporting fundraising, strategic growth, and market positioning.     RESPONSIBILITIES     Investor Relations & External Strategy  

Own development and execution of investor communication strategy, including positioning, messaging, and materials   

Lead creation and refinement of investor-facing content, including pitch decks, updates, and strategic communications   

Partner to support fundraising efforts, investor engagement, and external communications   

Prepare leadership for investor meetings, presentations, and external engagements  

  Strategic Messaging & Company Narrative  

Define and maintain Standard Nuclear’s external narrative, ensuring alignment with company strategy and execution   

Translate technical, operational, and financial progress into clear, credible messaging   

Ensure consistency of messaging across all external communications and materials   

Continuously refine positioning based on company progress and market feedback   

  Executive & Cross-Functional Partnership  

Work closely with executive leadership to shape messaging, positioning, and communication priorities   

Partner with engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure communications are accurate and aligned with reality   

Act as a central point of coordination for external communications across the organization   

  Market Positioning & Stakeholder Insight  

Monitor industry trends, investor expectations, and competitive positioning   

Advise leadership on how to position the company within the broader nuclear and energy landscape   

Ensure messaging reflects both technical credibility and commercial relevance   

  Communications Infrastructure & Team Development  

Build and scale communications processes, tools, and frameworks as the company grows   

Establish standards for messaging, content development, and communication workflows   

Evaluate and manage external partners (e.g., PR firms, consultants) as needed   

Support development of a communications function over time  

  SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS    

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Engineering, or a related field   

8–12+ years of experience in strategic communications, investor relations, consulting, or a related field   

Experience working with technical or industrial companies (energy, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or similar)   

Proven experience supporting fundraising, investor communications, or executive-level messaging   

Strong ability to understand and communicate complex technical and operational topics   

Deep understanding of financial concepts, business strategy, and investor expectations   

Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills   

Strong judgment and ability to manage sensitive and high-visibility communications   

Experience working closely with executive leadership

    WORK ENVIRONMENT     This role involves close collaboration with executive leadership, finance, engineering, and operations teams.   The position requires ownership of high-impact external communications, coordination across multiple stakeholders, and participation in investor-facing activities. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and events.
