QUANTA

Quanta is an AI-powered finance platform built for fast-growing companies. Every company relies on accounting as its source of truth, but the tools today are manual, fragmented, and not designed for how modern businesses operate. We're building the system of record for finance - one that owns the data layer and uses AI to automate and abstract away the operational burden. The result is a real-time, intelligent financial backbone that goes far beyond traditional accounting software.

We are a tight-knit team of 17, working 4 days in-person in downtown San Francisco.

Our team brings together deep expertise in both finance and engineering. We've built accounting systems at Affirm, ledgers at Stripe and Robinhood, launched products from 0→1, and scaled systems that process billions of dollars in transactions.

We don't believe great software comes from guessing what customers need. We believe it comes from working alongside them. Today, we operate directly on our customers' accounting workflows. That gives us an incredibly tight feedback loop between customers, product, and engineering. We see where systems break, where judgment matters, and where automation creates real leverage. Every product decision starts with real workflows and real pain points.

We're still early. The team is small, the problems we’re tackling are difficult, and every person we hire will shape the future of Quanta.

THE ROLE

We're looking for our founding recruiter to build one of the most important functions at Quanta.

This isn't a recruiting role where you'll inherit mature processes and spend your time filling open reqs. You'll define how we hire, help shape who we hire, and build the systems that enable us to scale while maintaining an exceptionally high talent bar.

We're growing fast and every hire matters. You'll partner directly with our founders and hiring managers to build exceptional teams across engineering, product, design, operations, GTM, and beyond. You'll help define what great looks like, identify and close outstanding talent, and build a candidate experience that people genuinely remember.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Own full-cycle recruiting. Run the entire hiring process from initial call to signed offer across Engineering, Product, Design, GTM, Operations, and future teams.

- Build sourcing strategies that actually find the right people. Go beyond job postings. You'll develop creative, targeted approaches to reach exceptional candidates for roles that don't have obvious pipelines.

- Design processes that help us hire well. Build structured interview plans, scorecards, and debrief frameworks that produce consistent signal and high-quality decisions, not just gut feelings.

- Create a candidate experience worth talking about. Fast, honest, and human. You'll make sure every candidate, hired or not, walks away feeling like they were treated with respect.

- Own our recruiting operations. Manage and continuously improve our recruiting stack, including Ashby, sourcing tools, and analytics.

- Raise hiring quality over time. Identify bottlenecks, track the right metrics, and improve our funnel. You're not just filling roles, you're building a repeatable machine that gets better with every hire.

- Shape Quanta's brand as an employer. Craft job descriptions, recruiting content, and candidate messaging that make the right people want to work here. You'll build a reputation that attracts people who are excited about what we're building, not just looking for any job.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a high-growth startup environment

- Proven success hiring exceptional technical talent, with experience recruiting across multiple functions

- Excited to build from zero. You enjoy creating systems, improving processes, and figuring things out without a playbook.

- Outstanding closer who understands what motivates candidates and builds trust throughout the hiring process

- High bar for candidate quality. You value making the right hire not making a fast hire

- You obsess over candidate experience and sweat the small details because you know they shape how people perceive the company

- Exceptional sourcing skills, you know how to find people that others can't

- Strong communicator who can confidently represent Quanta to candidates at every stage

- Highly organized and able to manage multiple searches while keeping hiring teams and candidates informed

- Analytical enough to diagnose funnel problems, identify patterns, and improve recruiting performance over time

- Excited to work in person with a collaborative team in our San Francisco office.
