What does Aptadir Therapeutics do?
Aptadir Therapeutics is a Milan, Italy-based preclinical biotech developing a new class of RNA inhibitor therapeutics called DNMT-interacting RNAs (DiRs) that block aberrant DNA methylation to reactivate silenced genes. Its lead candidate, CAP1-FMR1, targets Fragile X Syndrome, with additional programs in myelodysplastic syndrome and other cancers and rare genetic disorders. The science originates from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Italy's CNR, and the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore.
